New baby boy!!!

Early Tuesday morning 3 am I woke up with some regular contractions and after a bit thought we'd better play it safe and head to the hospital. We were checked in at 4:30 and by 7:30 he was born. It was wonderful! We named him Russell Ames Whiting. He was 7 lbs 8 ozs and 20 1/2 inches long. He looks alot like the other Whiting babies.
We're excited and feel very blessed to have him here with us.

The other kids are always wanting to hold him.

yeay! I've been checking your blog often to catch the first glimpse of your little boy. He is adorable. He actually has a very distinct look...diff. from your other kids. It'll be so fun to see what his personality is like and how he differs from the others. Um, so how do you look so beautiful after having a baby? I looked all bloated and blotchy. Gross. Anyway, I'm very happy for you and your cute family. Can't wait to see you guys. - Congrats

It's so exciting that we have a whole new individual member of our family with his own unique qualities. What will Russel be like? What impact will he have on the world? I'm excited to find out.

Yeah! Congratulations. He looks like a Whiting but his face seems more round than I remember Dallin's being. Hope he is being a good baby!

Glad he's here. He looks very cute. Macey kept calling him Logan in every picture. She said Kari's holding Logan. I can't wait to see him in a month. And I guess everyone else too!

I think you are the third to use the name Ames, but the only one to use Russell. That so many grandkids use the name when naming their kids show so much pride and respect for the original man.

What a darling little boy. Congratulations. Now that you are in Utah, we will have to come visit when we come up to see our family. In fact, we should be in Utah almost all summer, as Darin will be deployed. I am not a good single mom:) I'm glad things are going well. Take care.
