Our weekend to BrianHead

We went with our friends the Valgardsons for the weekend to a cabin at BrianHead.  It was so awesome.  We took the chair lift up and then went on a hike down.  It took a few hours but the kids were great because there were cool things they could look for and do on the trail.  Kam let us borrow the baby backpack and then Clara fell asleep on his head.

 This little pond was beautiful.  Nice to be away from the Wii for a little bit.  We didn't get to play as many adult games as we wanted (adult games meaning Stoneage, Ticket to Ride) but played Jenga with the kids, splashed in the hot tub and Todd took them on lots of 4-wheeler rides.

This one is fun because Russ is looking through binoculars.

Sunday after church we told the kids it was time for a picture.  There was a collective, "nooooo" from all of them.  I'm sure we bribed them with something.  This one's funny cuz Lincoln did something to make Kaylee mad.

I had been looking for curtains forever and finally found some material online that was just what I wanted.  The boys loved these "ropes" from some trimmed pieces.  The curtains aren't done, but you get the idea.  I wanted to brighten things up in our family room. (the brown are the former ones)

Memorial Day

Last weekend was nice.  We visited the Bluffdale Cemetery to see Uncle Al's grave site. 

Then we went on a bike ride.  The kids were all really positive.  (We also went to Cafe Rio afterwards)

 Sunday morning we found the kids doing this.  Do you think any of the kix got smashed?

There was a big storm this morning and the wind blew our trampoline over. I guess it's good it hit the balcony instead of our house or the neighbors fence. It bent the frame and ripped the whole mat. Crazy.While the girls and I were on our weekend trip to St. George the boys had fun making smores, playing at the park and my favorite: cleaning their rooms.

Todd and I often talk about things we should do as a family. These talks usually take place at night when we're in bed. Then the next day we don't seem to remember. But this Sunday we acted! We've been wanting to have the kids do some service so hopefully they could think less about themselves and more about others. We went to the park and picked up trash. We also played some kickball. There was actually lots of crying and "accidentally" hurting each other, but all in all it was good.

We went to St. George for Anna's dance competition. We enjoyed shopping, eating, and being together.

Kaylee got her hair cut and her braces off. What beautiful teeth.
